This policy explains what we do with your information when you contact us or use this website. We keep it short because there isn't much to it. We are a small engineering practice, not an advertising business, and we don't sell data.
Who we are
500.co.uk provides planning and building regulation drawings and structural design. If you have any question about your information, email contact@500.co.uk.
What we collect
- When you message us on WhatsApp or by email: your name, contact details, your property address and whatever you tell us about your project.
- When you request the free checklist: your first name and email address.
- When you become a client: measurements, photographs and drawings of your property, and the details needed to submit an application on your behalf.
- Website analytics: only if you accept cookies. Nothing loads before you choose.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and give you a price.
- To produce your drawings and, where your package includes it, to submit an application as your agent.
- To send you the checklist you asked for, and occasional practical information about extensions. You can tell us to stop at any time and we will.
- To keep records we are required to keep, such as invoices.
Our lawful bases are performing our contract with you, your consent for the checklist and any marketing, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and keeping proper business records.
Who we share it with
Only where it is needed to do the job:
- Your local authority or a private building control approver, when submitting an application on your behalf.
- The water company, if a build over agreement is needed.
- Our design and CAD team, who work under our instruction.
- Service providers who host our website and email.
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become work are deleted within about 12 months. Project records are kept for at least 6 years after completion, because that is how long professional liability can run and because you may need the drawings again when you sell.
Cookies
The site uses no tracking cookies unless you accept them. If you accept, we use analytics to see which videos bring people to the site. You can decline and the site works exactly the same.
